Coleraine Enterprise Agency Limited was established in 1984 under the umbrella of the Local Enterprise Programme. The agency was established with the aim to assist business start up and growth with SME's. This was to be achieved by providing work shop premises and support services to the small business person. Since its inception the agency has earned the reputation of being a key player in economic and enterprise development with the small business sector in the Coleraine borough, through the provision of a varied range of services and consultancy. The agency is staffed by a small team of dedicated personnel who offer a high level of business experience and professional competence. The agency have been providers of Enterprise/Business Start Training on behalf of LEDU since 1988 and have successfully delivered training to a high level of competence. Coleraine Enterprise Agency were management agent of the Self Start Programme on behalf of LEDU for Coleraine, Ballymoney and Moyle borough councils for a period of 4 years. The contract was managed to a very high standard and the agency is reputed for successful management of budget and target achievement. CEA is now the lead agency for the new Business Start Programme. CEA is also the managing and delivery agent for a two year Outreach Programme developed on behalf of Coleraine Local Action Group for Enterprise (COLLAGE), targeted at entrepreneurs and community groups within the local areas of Coleraine borough. CEA designed the programme to ensure that these groups operate efficiently and effectively, acquiring a business like approach to the projects they embark upon. Coleraine Enterprise Agency is a member of the Telecottage Association and the National Network of Community Business.  CEA are represented on a number of other organisations such as, COLLAGE (leader II), Coleraine Borough P & R Group, Coleraine Business Education Partnership, Chamber of Commerce and Portrush Regeneration Trust.
