The Exploring Enterprise programme.

Beginning Autumn 2019 in Coleraine, Ballymoney and Ballycastle

Photo Above: The 2 classes from the most recent Exploring Enterprise courses in the Coleraine area, from early 2017. Budding entrepreneurs are starting businesses in hairdressing, freelance comic design, food production, beauty, soft furnishings, DJ-ing, reflexology, agricultural support, music tuition and others.  

This is a free programme delivered over 6 mornings that helps you take the first steps in exploring your business idea and/or improving your self/employment prospects. You can achieve an accredited qualification in Understanding Business Enterprise from the programme! This will improve your CV and help to break down barriers to self-employment or employment.  Learning takes place in an open, non-threatening environment, suited to adults returning to education.

On the programme you will learn about:

  • Understanding personal qualities & abilities for business
  • Understanding enterprise & enterprising skills
  • Products & customers
  • Resources & teams 
  • Understanding opportunities & risks 

1-1 Mentoring is available with this course and is supplied by our dedicated start-up business team here at Causeway Enterprise Agency.  Mentoring can include bookkeeping, financial planning, marketing, digital marketing, market research and others, The course is scheduled to start in the Autumn 2019.  Scroll down to see videos of our previous clients and then you can email us your details, include your phone number as well if you prefer and we'll be in touch to start the ball rolling.

Eligibility: You must be either unemployed or working/in education less than 16 hrs a week. You must be 16 or over.

The programme is part funded through the Northern Ireland European Social Fund 2014-2020 Investment for Jobs and Growth Programme, the Department for the Economy, Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council, Enterprise Northern Ireland and Causeway Enterprise Agency.
